I would be a little concerned over the above 'free' copy of the Paragon software in that a) is this still valid?, and b) is the version of the software up-to-date so that it still works in El Capitan on a Mac. Older versions of the software will not work in El Capitan.


A different approach you could consider is using Apple's 'Migration Assistant' software to transfer files over a computer network between the Mac and Windows PC. Step 6: Now your will see this screen which is prompting “Erasing (name of your external hard drive) will permanently erase all data stored on it. you can’t undo this action. so make sure you have backed up all your data on this drive. now here you can name this drive(this is how you change name of a External or Hard Drive), select format (file system) and scheme.

Step 7: Now Select “ExFat” from format as your looking to make this hard Drive mac as well as windows Compatible and from schemes select “GUID Partition Map”. and click on Erase.
